Alarm Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps to maintain the performance of the alarm system. It is important to have your alarm system serviced at least once a year as most insurance companies require evidence that the alarm system is installed and maintained by an approved company. Having your alarm system maintained also provides you with peace of mind. It is also cost effective to have an alarm regular serviced rather than the cost of breakdowns and repairs.

All our maintenance visits fulfil all S.S.A.I.B standards. Our maintenances include the following providing you with extra peace of mind.

  • Check the history of alarm system since the last maintenance service
  • Visual inspection of all major alarm components including cabling and connection where accessible, for signs of deterioration or damage
  • Check mains power supply including charging rates (where applicable)
  • Check battery power supply including charging rates (where applicable)
  • Check and Walk test all detectors
  • Check satisfactory operation of manually operated devices e.g. panic buttons
  • Check and test all audible warning devices e.g sirens or speakers
  • Check and test remote signalling equipment (where appropriate)
  • Make adjustments as necessary
  • Repair any minor faults (where applicable)
  • Retrain the users on the use of the alarm system (if required)
  • Log all test results
  • Return the alarm systems to operation status
  • Cleaning detectors and sensors

At Radium Security Systems we provide two types of maintenance depending on the alarm system you have, these are;

Non-Monitored Alarm

we provide an annual maintenance, completing all of the above as applicable.

Monitored Alarm

We provide two maintenance’s annually. The first is a site visit as detailed above and the second is a remote visit, where the systems specifications are check and adjusted as applicable.
